    FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Can I replay a segment of the split narrative immediately after experiencing it, or must I progress linearly through the entire split before revisiting a specific branching choice?
You must progress through the entire split narrative. The game doesn't allow for immediate replay of segments to preserve the intended experience. Replaying a segment must be done through a new playthrough.
If my choices in one narrative strand directly impact the available options or outcomes in the other, are these connections always immediately apparent, or are some revelations delayed?
Connections between narrative strands can manifest both immediately and with delayed impact. Some choices have instant repercussions, while others might alter conditions for future segments.
Does the game offer any visual indicators or memory aids to help players recall choices made in the other narrative strand when encountering related situations?
The game incorporates subtle cues and contextual reminders. These include visual motifs and brief text summaries tied to critical choices made in the other strand, to help you recall and understand the consequences of your choices.
Are the narrative strands completely independent in their gameplay, or do they occasionally intersect with shared resources, items, or character interactions?
The narrative strands are largely independent, but they may intersect through shared items, characters, or resources. This creates opportunities for unique synergies and dependencies that can influence outcomes.
How does the game handle situations where choices in one strand render a character's actions in the other strand illogical or impossible?
The game is designed to maintain logical consistency across strands. The choices you make are reflected in the available options in other strands. If an option becomes impossible due to a previous decision, it will be grayed out or unavailable.
Is there a limit to how many times I can 'split' the narrative, or are there effectively unlimited parallel timelines?
The game's narrative structure allows for a limited number of 'splits' to ensure a manageable but rich experience. The number of splits is defined to allow depth without overwhelming the player.
If I choose to 'merge' the narrative strands, what criteria determine which choices and outcomes are prioritized or deemed 'canon'?
Merging the strands depends on the choices made across both timelines. The final merged outcome is determined by a culmination of the paths, offering a unique resolution based on your actions, rather than prioritizing a single strand.
Are there any achievements or rewards tied to discovering all the possible split combinations and outcomes within the narrative?
Yes, the game offers achievements and rewards for exploring the full range of possibilities. These include uncovering all split combinations, specific outcomes, and hidden events.
How much of the game's story is revealed in each individual playthrough compared to the complete picture that emerges after multiple playthroughs and strand interactions?
Each playthrough reveals a portion of the complete story, offering a different perspective. The full picture is only revealed by experiencing multiple playthroughs and understanding the interactions between the strands.
Does the game track my choices and provide a summary of the decisions made in each strand to help me understand how my actions have shaped the narrative?
The game tracks your choices and provides summaries within the game interface to help you understand the impact of your decisions on both the immediate narrative and across different strands.

Split Fiction stands out with its fast-paced combat mechanics and diverse roster of characters. With vibrant visuals, smooth animations, and a dynamic fighting system, it offers an exciting experience for arcade fighting game fans. However, how well it maintains competitive balance and character variety in the long run remains to be seen. A compelling choice for fighting game enthusiasts!
