Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree praised in all reviews

We will still have to wait for a couple of weeks before we can immerse into the first and only expansion for Elden Ring. Following the huge success of the game on all platforms developer FromSoftware has put a lot of effort into making Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree worthy enough, and everything indicates that it has achieved that goal. All the reviews from specialized press point to an awesome expansion that is bigger than expected and the perfect addition to the base game. With a whole new region to explore, the Land of Shadow, more than 10 new bosses and several side bosses, and a plethora of other enemies to fight, Shadow of the Erdtree promises hours of challenging content that will also expand the lore of the game.

The best expansion

FromSoftware has already confirmed that the content in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree will be as difficult as the base game if not more. Therefore, you can rest assured that you will die, and quite often. But endless frustration and desperation will be followed by exhilarating joy when you finally defeat the final boss and can deem this new chapter as finished. Of course, there is always room for more exploration as the expansion will also include a plethora of secrets over a hundred new weapons and eight new weapon types for you to unlock, including Martial Arts, which will allow you to fight bare-handed.

Overall, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is the expansion that the fans were asking for, in terms of gameplay, novelties, graphics, and mechanics. Most of the reviews agree on that and are giving it quite a high score. It does not matter if you are a seasoned Elden Ring veteran or you discovered the game recently, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is definitely a must-have.
