Assassin's Creed Mirage is reportedly coming in October

Ubisoft is not exactly going through its best moments. The French company didn't achieve good results last year with some of its releases. Titles like Skull and Bones are taking longer than expected while others like Beyond Good and Evil 2 have completely disappeared from the radar. In such a scenario, Ubisoft is betting on one of its most popular series to save 2024. We are talking about Assassin's Creed, of course.

After the success of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, the developer seems to be taking a slightly different direction with Assassin's Creed: Mirage. The upcoming game will offer a smaller and more intimate experience, more character-driven, and much closer to the first installments in the series.

The new game will be a return to the origins of the series with a story set in Baghdad during the height of the Persian Empire. It will star Basim, a young street thief seeking justice who enters a secret organization that will change his life and the story forever. Ubisoft aims to deliver gameplay more focused on stealth and assassination with Assassin's Creed Mirage, which is something that the fans of the series have been requesting for a while.

More resources for the series

Ubisoft has recently revealed plans to expand the team working on Assassin's Creed by 40% in the coming years, raising their numbers from 2.000 to 2.800, which shows its commitment to the series. Assassin's Creed Mirage will be the first game to benefit from such an improvement. Meanwhile, there are reports pointing at an October release for the game, but nothing has been officially confirmed so far.

We will surely know more about Assassin's Creed Mirage in the upcoming Ubisoft Forward, which is scheduled for June 12. Of course, if you are looking to preorder your copy at the best price, you can already check out the best deals on Assassin's Creed Mirage CD keys with our comparator.
