Ubisoft celebrates the success of Assassin's Creed Mirage
Assassin's Creed Mirage was released last week and it has arrived like a breath of fresh air to the series. If previous installments were spectacular, grandiose, and overly big, the adventure starring Basim and set in Baghdad during the 9th century delivers an experience that is as thrilling as other Assassin's Creed games but on a much smaller scale. What Assassin's Creed Mirage lacks in size is compensated with intensity, storytelling, and immersion.
The game can be deemed as a return to the origins of a series that had turned into something far different from what it was in the beginning. This does not mean that titles like Assassin's Creed Valhalla were not good games, but the latest Assassin's Creed games are massive monsters that can be scary for players looking for a more intimate experience. The community that loves Assassin's Creed really needed a game that would focus on the basics without losing a bit of intensity, and Assassin's Creed Mirage has arrived to fulfill that role with great success.
It's small but it's hitting hard
According to Ubisoft, Assassin's Creed Mirage has achieved very good numbers in its first week, pretty much on par with Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Assassin's Creed Origins. It's also Ubisoft's biggest release on next-gen consoles, demonstrating that a huge player base was eagerly waiting for such a type of game.
As a curiosity, Ubisoft has revealed some fun achievements accomplished by the players in Assassin's Creed Mirage so far:
- 479 collective years spent parkouring the rooftops of Baghdad
- 60 million Leaps of Faith
- 1.2 million street cats pet
Thank you all for joining us on Basim's journey in 9th Century Baghdad!

We are thrilled by the response from the community and for embracing our homage to the roots of the AC franchise. #AssassinsCreed pic.twitter.com/KnL2YxGION
Beginning its journey with such a positive welcome is good news for the latest installment in a beloved franchise. Assassin's Creed Mirage is bound to grow even more in the coming weeks. Ubisoft has already confirmed that there is no DLC in the works, and it's a very good idea for a game like this since they want to keep the story small. In any case, if you have yet to discover the game, the best deals on Assassin's Creed Mirage PC keys are available with our comparator.
