Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 adds several features in the new patch

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 adds several features in the new patch

Focus Entertainment has released a major content update for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. Titled Datavault, the patch introduces free and paid features across all supported platforms. The new content includes the PvE Absolute difficulty, the PvP Tomb map, the Biovore enemy, and an emote system for multiplayer. Additionally, the long-awaited FOV slider feature has finally been implemented.

Other additions to Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 include the option to turn crossplay on or off in PvP, new executions, additional mastery scaling for progression, and a quick match bonus. Regarding paid content, the game received the Salamander Champion Pack and Raven Guard Cosmetic Pack DLCs, both available now in digital stores. Lastly, several gameplay balancing adjustments were made, including class and weapon perk updates. The patch list is extensive, but the studio emphasized that most balancing changes were buffs to perks rather than nerfs.

"Balancing-wise, the focus of this update was to review perk trees of all classes. There were clear outsiders that didn't get picked. While there are some nerfs in the list, the vast majority of changes are buffs that should benefit different playstyles. With the next patch, we will be focusing on weapon perks and weapon class restrictions."
