Rainbow Six Quarantine was revealed during E3 2019, and it's a cooperative tactical shooter for three players that follows the steps of Rainbow Six Siege. There is no official release date for the upcoming title in the Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six series yet.

Rainbow Six Quarantine was initially announced to be released early 2020, but Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has revealed during the company investor's call that the new game will be released before the end of the fiscal year. For those that don't know anything about the world of finances, that means that the game will most probably be launched sometime between January 1, 2020, and March 31, 2020, if we don't consider any possible delays. In Rainbow Six Quarantine, a group of three Operators has to deal with the threat of a technological parasite. The game takes inspiration from the Outbreak event from Rainbow Six Siege. This event was introduced during the Operation Chimera expansion and allowed three players to travel to New Mexico to deal with the consequences of an epidemic outbreak in a little town. The description of the game on Ubisoft's shop says the following:

"The Rainbow Operators will face off against a totally new breed of mutated alien parasite. Infecting human hosts and their surroundings, this new enemy is more lethal and challenging than ever before. Prepare to launch into tense, chaotic, and totally unpredictable missions as you and your squad risk everything, every time you step into Quarantine."

It is yet to be seen if this new take on the Rainbow Six Siege experience which has competitive PvP as its primary allure will be interesting enough for the fans of the franchise. We will have to wait until the release date of Rainbow Six Quarantine gets much closer, and more information about the game is revealed to find out about the expectation it manages to raise among the players.
