Multipayer is arriving to No Rest for the Wicked

No Rest for the Wicked is Getting Co-Op After Beta Feedback

Moon Studios has confirmed that cooperative multiplayer is coming to No Rest for the Wicked, following a recent beta test that gave players an early look at how shared play would function in the dark fantasy action RPG. The new co-op features are part of a major update currently in development and represent one of the studio's most substantial gameplay additions since the title entered Early Access.

The upcoming co-op mode allows multiple players to adventure together in the game's brutal, hand-crafted world, taking on enemies, bosses, and exploration challenges as a group. Unlike traditional drop-in multiplayer systems, Moon Studios has emphasized persistence and long-term progression, enabling players to share a world state rather than relying solely on short, session-based hosting.

The beta has been a key element

According to the developer, feedback from the beta played a key role in refining the experience. Players tested combat balance, enemy scaling, stability, and progression while playing together, helping Moon Studios identify issues specific to multiplayer pacing and difficulty. Improvements based on this feedback include smoother matchmaking, better performance during combat-heavy encounters, and adjustments to systems that previously favored solo play.

In addition to cooperative combat and exploration, the upcoming update will expand how players interact with the world together. Shared progression systems, coordinated decision-making, and cooperative resource management are designed to make group play feel fully integrated rather than an optional add-on. Moon Studios has stated that the goal is to preserve the game's deliberate, high-stakes combat while making co-op meaningful and rewarding.

A newly released trailer showcases the co-op features in action, highlighting synchronized combat, coordinated boss fights, and the visual chaos that emerges when multiple players face off against enemies simultaneously. The footage reinforces the studio's commitment to maintaining the game's distinctive tone and challenge even with more players on screen.

No Rest for the Wicked continues to evolve through Early Access, with Moon Studios positioning co-op as a foundational feature rather than a post-launch experiment. While a full release date has not yet been announced, the studio has reiterated that community testing and feedback will remain central to shaping future updates as development progresses.
