LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is free to claim for the next 24 hours

The Epic Games Store typically offers giveaways on a weekly basis, with new promotions launching every Thursday. However, a special occasion has altered this routine. To celebrate May 4, the unofficial holiday dedicated to Star Wars, the Epic Games Store is now hosting a unique giveaway for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga for all PC users. But hurry, as this promotion only lasts for one day!

For those who might not know, the LEGO developer Traveller's Tales presents its own spin on the Star Wars saga, covering all three trilogies in the film series. Players can dive into the story arcs in any sequence they choose. Like other games in this lighthearted franchise, it features hundreds of playable characters, both heroes and villains, from its expansive universe.

The game includes 23 planets from the saga for players to explore. As expected in a Star Wars title, gameplay involves using Lightsabers and the Force to dismantle brick enemies and environments, along with "Blaster controls" that allow for free aiming with characters who use ranged weapons.

Similar to the studio's other LEGO titles, the game supports cooperative multiplayer to cause chaos with a friend in that distant galaxy. However, this feature is limited to local couch co-op, with no online play available. You can enjoy the game with a friend in a split-screen format.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is currently available for free on the Epic Games Store. When not on sale, the game normally retails for $49.99. This giveaway will be active until 8 am PT on May 5.
