Layers of Fear bewitches with cinematic intro and demo

Layers of Fear is establishing itself as one of the best-looking first-person horror games and you’ll soon get the chance to see for yourself. Developer Bloober Team has stated they will have a playable demo, which will be available on Steam from May 15-May 22. What’s more, they have released the cinematic intro, which you can view right here:

Horror high art

So far that we've seen, part of the action takes place in a lonely lighthouse with yet another haunted piece of art. This likely has to do with a new character called the Writer, whose tale bookends the stories of the original Layers of Fear, the Inheritance DLC, and Layers of Fear 2. All these games have been rebuilt using Unreal Engine 5, hence the jaw-dropping graphics.

We’ll get to see more of the game with the playable demo, which will have commentary from Damian Kocurek, the Creative Director of Anshar Studios, and Laura Bernaś, PR Manager for Bloober Team.
