Ghost of Tsushima is a big hit on PC already
Both Sony and Microsoft make ample use of exclusive releases to pump up the sales on their respective consoles and Ghost of Tsushima is a good example of that. The game Sucker Punch released in 2020 exclusively on PlayStation consoles became a big hit on the platform due to its unique setting and exciting gameplay features. However, in the last few years, both companies have opened the door to release on PC their exclusive titles. The market of PC players is huge, and the revenue these titles generate is exponentially increased when released for computers, even if it's a few years later. In the case of PlayStation, it happened with Horizon Zero Dawn and God of War, for example, and now the recent release of Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut confirms that it could have been a good idea to release it on PC back in 2020.
At the top
The numbers provided by SteamDB reveal that Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut boasts a notable number of concurrent players on Valve's platform since it was released last Thursday. In fact, the game is at the top, with over 75,000 concurrent players, and it leaves behind God of War, Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered, and all the other games from PlayStation studios.
With a "very positive" review score on the platform, the game is not suffering from the limited access of PC players to crossplay. It seems that joining the Legends multiplayer more while playing with PC players only is more than enough for the community so far. The controversy that almost destroys Helldivers 2 is not that much of a problem in this case, but we will have to wait for a bit longer to see the real effects as most players should still be trying to complete the single-player campaign in Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut.
Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut is an excellent port with outstanding technical capabilities on PC that allow players to push the boundaries in terms of graphics performance. Combine that with a thrilling story and solid gameplay mechanics and you will have all the keys to the game's success on PC. Of course, if you have yet to discover this exciting adventure that pits a single samurai against a whole army of invaders on a small Japanese island, all you need to do is use our comparator to buy Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut at the best price for PC and get ready to fight.
