Ghost of Tsushima's final patch is out

It's been two long years since Ghost of Tsushima was released. The game was received with excitement by a community eager to explore its open world. Turning the tides of an invasion as a lone warrior is an epic feat that many players have achieved since then, as the game rapidly became one of the most important referents on PlayStation consoles. The gameplay experience was so good on PS4 at launch that the game felt like a next-gen title. Fortunately, developer Sucker Punch Productions had some things in store for Ghost of Tsushima, and the game received a series of updates that made it even better. Development has ended

Sucker Punch Productions seems to be done with the game, though. According to the studio, the release of patch 2.18 marks the end of the development of the game.

"While we aren't actively working on any additional patches at the moment, we will continue to monitor feedback on the community-run Gotlegends subreddit and messages sent to @SuckerPunchProd on Twitter for any high priority bugs or issues that emerge. We want to say a huge THANK YOU to the entire community for the incredible amount of support and feedback we've gotten since launch. When Legends launched in October 2020, we never expected to have such an active community more than a year and a half later, and we could not be more thankful to everyone who has been with us on this journey!"

Now that the studio is done with Ghost of Tsushima, one question remains: what's next? Looking at their previous work, we can't stop wondering if the Infamous series will be back. After all, Infamous: Second Son and Infamous: First Light were pretty popular. Also, a completely new franchise may be in the works, and it wouldn't be such a bad option when considering the success of Ghost of Tsushima.
