New fighters are coming to Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves

SNK has officially announced the second season of downloadable content (DLC) for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, introducing a schedule that will bring one new fighter to the game each month throughout the first half of 2026.

The Season 2 DLC lineup will kick off with a mix of returning fan favorites and iconic characters from the Fatal Fury universe. SNK has confirmed that this year’s plan is designed to keep the game fresh for both casual players and competitive fighters, with each release offering new strategies, movesets, and gameplay possibilities.

A plethora of additions

The first character of the season, set to arrive on January 22, is Kim Jae Hoon, the skilled Taekwondo fighter and son of Kim Kaphwan. February will see the introduction of Nightmare Geese, a darker, supernatural version of the notorious Geese Howard. In March, players can look forward to Blue Mary, the experienced grappler and sambo specialist. April’s addition will be the towering Wolfgang Krauser, known as the Kaiser of SNK’s universe. The final two slots for May and June remain shrouded in mystery, leaving fans speculating about potential surprises and even possible crossover characters.

This accelerated monthly release schedule marks a departure from the slower content drops typical of fighting games, reflecting SNK's response to strong fan engagement following the game's successful launch in 2025. By delivering consistent new content, the developer aims to maintain interest in the title and encourage the community to explore evolving matchups and strategies.

Originally released in April 2025 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves blends classic Fatal Fury mechanics with modern fighting systems, including Selective Potential Gear and the expanded REV system. The addition of Season 2 DLCs promises to further enrich the gameplay experience and strengthen the game's presence in competitive circles.
