Le retour de Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves est globalement une réussite. Le gameplay est sans doute l’un des plus grands points forts du jeu avec des mécaniques modernes qui respectent parfaitement la licence. On sent une vraie maîtrise et une volonté de proposer une expérience compétitive solide. Néanmoins, ce retour intervient peut-être un peu tard. Face à des concurrents comme Street Fighter, Tekken ou Mortal Kombat, soutenus par de très grosses communautés et des budgets conséquents, le jeu peine à rivaliser sur le long terme. L’avenir de City of the Wolves dépendra donc en grande partie de son suivi : mises à jour régulières, nouveaux personnages et équilibrage seront essentiels pour maintenir l’intérêt des joueurs. À plus long terme, on peut espérer que ce retour serve de base solide pour l’avenir de la licence, et pourquoi pas, pour un nouvel épisode doté d’un budget plus ambitieux, notamment pour offrir un véritable mode solo narratif à la hauteur du potentiel de l’univers

The future of City of the Wolves will therefore depend largely on its follow-up: regular updates, new characters and balancing will be essential to maintain players' interest. In the longer term, we can only hope that this return will serve as a solid foundation for the future of the license, and why not, for a new episode with a more ambitious budget, in particular to offer a true narrative single-player mode that lives up to the potential of the universe.

Saber que City of the Wolves puede atraer tanto a jugadores veteranos como a novatos me parece bien. Esa dualidad hace que el juego no se quede en un nicho cerrado, sino que tenga potencial para convertirse en un favorito dentro del género. Saber que puede unir generaciones de jugadores me hace apreciar aún más este esperado regreso.
Knowing that City of the Wolves can appeal to both veteran and novice players is fine by me. That duality means that the game doesn't stay in a closed niche, but has the potential to become a favorite within the genre. Knowing that it can unite generations of gamers makes me appreciate this long-awaited return even more.

Awesome return to form for the Fatal Fury franchise. Lots of offensive and defensive playstyle options. You can actually cancel specials, so no more being stuck in a grab loop. The matchmaking for online play is pretty good and there's crossplay too. All in all, a great fighting game that deserves more recognition.

La atención al detalle en los diseños visuales me encantó. Me parece un aspecto muy importante porque una estética bien cuidada hace que el juego sea más disfrutable en cada combate. Que SNK haya logrado una combinación entre arte clásico y moderno demuestra dedicación, y eso me hace sentir que este regreso de la saga vale la pena.
I loved the attention to detail in the visual designs. I think it's a very important aspect because a well-kept aesthetic makes the game more enjoyable in every fight. That SNK has achieved a combination of classic and modern art shows dedication, and that makes me feel that this return of the saga is worth it.

Me gusta que la noticia no solo hable de nostalgia, sino que destaque las nuevas mecánicas como atractivo principal. Eso da la sensación de que SNK no se durmió en los laureles, sino que ha trabajado para que City of the Wolves sea un juego relevante en 2026. Salvatore et de Ronaldo donne une dimension vraiment particulière au jeu. Salvatore apporte une vraie originalité au roster, avec un style de combat original et une identité forte qui le distingue immédiatement des autres personnages. La présence de Ronaldo, elle, est clairement plus surprenante, mais je trouve qu’elle fonctionne étonnamment bien. Au-delà du côté événementiel, son intégration attire un nouveau public et fait beaucoup parler du jeu, tout en restant cohérente grâce à un gameplay pensé pour le versus fighting.
Salvatore and Ronaldo add a very special dimension to the game. Salvatore brings a real originality to the roster, with an original fighting style and a strong identity that immediately sets him apart from the other characters. Ronaldo's presence is clearly more surprising, but I find it works surprisingly well. Beyond the event aspect, his inclusion attracts a new audience and gets the game talked about, while remaining consistent thanks to a gameplay designed for versus fighting.

Que la jugabilidad ha sido pulida para ser más fluida realmente me gusta como jugador. Creo que ese tipo de mejoras son clave para que incluso los veteranos de la saga puedan disfrutar de una experiencia más dinámica y moderna. Saber que se han cuidado detalles técnicos y de mecanismos de combate me hace tener muchas ganas de probarlo a fondo.
That the gameplay has been polished to be more fluid really pleases me as a player. I think these kinds of improvements are key so that even veterans of the saga can enjoy a more dynamic and modern experience. Knowing that technical details and combat mechanics have been taken care of makes me really want to try it thoroughly.

Una de las cosas que más me atrae es ver cómo SNK ha trabajado el equilibrio entre lo clásico y lo nuevo. No solo reviven la franquicia, sino que incorporan innovaciones sin perder identidad. Ese enfoque me parece super inteligente: respeta la historia de Fatal Fury, pero se actualiza para ser relevante hoy, lo que demuestra cuidado y visión en el desarrollo.
One of the things that attracts me the most is to see how SNK has worked the balance between the classic and the new. Not only do they revive the franchise, but they incorporate innovations without losing identity. That approach seems super smart to me: it respects the history of Fatal Fury, but is updated to be relevant today, which shows care and vision in development.
