Crucially, rank losses would never drop players below their current Depth, and matchmaking would ensure they are paired with others of similar skill.

What sets Deep of Night apart isn’t just the escalating difficulty — it’s the exclusive perks and gameplay changes. Successful runs could grant up to three additional relic slots, on top of the usual three, usable only within the mode. Special weapons with unique buffs and debuffs might also appear, alongside enemy variants such as magma-infused bosses. These features could make the mode a thrilling alternative to standard gameplay.

If true, this wouldn’t be the first time dataminers have accurately predicted Elden Ring Nightreign’s future content. Earlier leaks correctly revealed the game’s max level and how diminishing returns work at higher tiers.
