Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is still deep in Season 3, and the latest update is one of those patches that may not look massive at first glance, but it touches a lot of the small problems that can make or break the daily grind. This is not the type of update that arrives with a big trailer and a huge new content push. Instead, it is more about cleaning up the game after Season 3 Reloaded and making sure the current content works the way players expect it to.
Season 3 has already been pretty packed for Black Ops 7 players. We got new maps, returning classics, Zombies content, Endgame additions, weapons, modes, and plenty of reasons to jump back in. But with every big season comes a bunch of weird bugs, broken tracking, awkward UI problems, and small gameplay issues that players start noticing fast. That is where this latest update comes in.
One of the main fixes is tied to the UI, with weapon fire mode changes now showing properly. It sounds basic, but in a fast match, even a small display issue can be annoying. Multiplayer also gets an important fix for the Black Hat, where players could get stuck holding an undeployable Sentry Turret after stealing and placing one. That is exactly the kind of bug that can ruin a good match for no good reason.
Ranked Play also gets some attention, especially around the MPC-25. The update adds new restrictions for some muzzle, underbarrel, and fire mod attachments. Competitive players are always quick to spot anything that feels too strong or out of place, so changes like this are important if Ranked is going to stay fair.
Zombies players were not left out either. The Aether Ruler title unlock issue has been fixed, and Molotov skins now show correctly in loadouts. Endgame also gets a helpful fix, with the Act II Step 8 challenge now tracking properly when players eliminate 10 Nightmare enemies with an Ability. Challenge tracking bugs are always frustrating, especially when players are doing the work and the game just refuses to count it.
This update may not be the flashiest Season 3 patch, but it does what a good live-service update should do: fix the rough edges, keep the playlists cleaner, and make the grind feel less broken.
