Nicolas Cage joins Black Ops 7 in Season 04 Reloaded

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 04 Reloaded feels like the devs looked at the mid-season update checklist and decided to throw a serious Zombies nightmare and a full action-movie meme into the same blender. On one side, players are getting Kowakujō, a new round-based Zombies map set in a cursed feudal Japanese castle inside the Dark Aether. On the other side, Nicolas Cage is stepping into the fight as an Operator, because apparently Black Ops 7 needed more lava, more undead, and more Cage energy.

The Zombies side of the update is not playing around. Kowakujō looks like the kind of map made for players who love when Zombies gets weird, dramatic, and a little bit evil. The setting already does a lot of heavy lifting: a castle surrounded by volcanic danger, fire, lava, cursed enemies, and a story tied to the crew trying to recover the World Seed and free the final Shadowsmith. It has that proper “one more round” feeling before you even load in.

The Oni is here to ruin your run 

Of course, a new Zombies map needs a nasty new problem, and this one brings the Oni. This armored supernatural brute carries a massive kanabō club, can power it up with electricity, and is not exactly the type of enemy you want blocking a hallway when your squad is already low on ammo. Add Hellhounds, Scorched Zombies, traps, challenges, and a classified Wonder Weapon into the mix, and Kowakujō sounds like a map built to turn calm comms into pure screaming within minutes.

Then, somehow, the same update also brings Nicolas Cage. The Nick Cage Event Pass adds the actor as an Operator, with rewards spread across Multiplayer, Zombies, Warzone, and Endgame. It is ridiculous in the best Call of Duty way. One minute you are fighting cursed undead in a lava-soaked nightmare castle, the next you are running around as Nicolas Cage like you just spawned inside a lost action movie from another universe.

That is what makes Season 04 Reloaded so funny and interesting. It is both serious and completely unhinged. Zombies fans get a proper new survival playground, while everyone else gets another wild reason to jump back in and see what chaos the lobby produces next.
