The launch of Death Stranding on PC is delayed

Not even Kojima Productions is free from the effects of the pandemic. After announcing the launch of Death Stranding on PC and its release date, the studio has had to delay it because of the closure of their office in Japan. Working from home is possible in this case and the game will still be available this summer, but since the adaptation process of the game to PC requires quite a bit of work, especially on the technical side, we won't be able to enjoy the latest adventure of Norman Reedus on PC until July 14, 2020. The studio has announced it via Twitter.

This situation has become something quite usual due to the current circumstances and, even though we are talking about a port and not about the game that has to be finished, it's logical that the development process is slower, hence the delay. The launch of Death Stranding on PC was originally scheduled for June 2, 2020, so a month and a half seems to be quite a reasonable amounto of time to finish the game.

Death Stranding was quite a success when it was released last year, and a part of that is owed to its marketing campaign and the secrecy that surrounded the game during its developmente stage. Nobody really knew what the game as really about until they played it. In the end, the game turned out to be something completely different than what most people expected. Although it has been called a "delivery simulator" and "walking simulator" by some people, the number of copies that have been sold prove that the uniqueness of the game is well received by the players and there are many active users on PlayStation Network.

PC players will have to wait a bit longer to play Death Stranding. It will be available on Steam and Epic Games Store.
