The story presents Clan Bloodmoon, a ruthless group retracing the pilgrimage of Saint Baal'Thasar, the founder of the mysterious Order of the Red Moon. According to legend, Baal'Thasar discovered a paradise illuminated by a brilliant red moon while searching for eternal life, but he never returned. Centuries later, the Bloodmoon clan ventures into his footsteps in search of the truth—and the secrets hidden within the ancient Red Moon Manor.

Legacy of the Bloodmoon expands the Vampire Survivors roster with 12 new characters, including Malice Bloodmoon, Calogero Bloodmoon, Baal'Thasar, Ashtart, and Sargon. Each character brings new possibilities for building powerful combinations and surviving increasingly chaotic enemy waves. The expansion also adds more than 16 new weapons and evolutions. Among the new additions are the devastating Scarlet Needle, the reality-erasing Incineration, the ominous Blacken Firmament, and the appropriately explosive FireBall. Combining weapons, passive abilities, evolutions, and character bonuses remains at the heart of the Vampire Survivors experience, giving you plenty of opportunities to create absurdly powerful combinations.

The expansion also adds the Red Moon Manor, a brand-new XL stage with enemies, secrets, unlockables, and mysteries surrounding the Order of the Red Moon.
