The ultimate test of martial arts, SIFU is a unique and challenging beat ‘em up that will test both your strategic ability and your reflexes.
You play a young martial artist out for revenge against five assassins who murdered your family. Your quest will take you through dank alleyways, nightclubs, fighting dens, and dojos. You will face expert martial artists, trained killers, and hardcore bosses who won’t hesitate to take your life.
But you have one advantage: a magical talisman that can resurrect you from the dead. There is one catch—each time you are revived, you age a number of years. While aging makes your strikes more powerful, if you grow too old you’ll die before you can complete your quest.
Combat in SIFU similarly requires balance. Button-mashing a single foe is the quickest way to defeat as enemies will swarm you from all sides. SIFU requires spatial awareness and quick reflexes. You must use your environment to your advantage by picking up bottles, kicking chairs at enemies, throwing them over ledges, or slamming them against walls. You can also vault over tables or run on walls to avoid getting cornered.
You’ll likely fail many times in SIFU, but that’s part of its design. Combat mastery takes practice and a lifetime of devotion, and SIFU aims to give that full experience.
