Hugo and Amicia are two siblings that were born in a wealthy French family in during the 14th century. Unfortunately, Hugo suffers a blood disease of unknown origin that has made both of them the target of the Inquisition at a time when the Black Death ravages the country. Rotting corpses pile up on the streets and swarms of rats spread the plague without anyone being able to stop it.
A Plague Tale: Requiem takes place six months after the events in A Plague Tale: Innocence. Hugo and Amicia have not quite recovered from their previous adventure and they decide to travel to Southern France following rumors about an isle where they may find a cure for Hugo's illness. They will begin a perilous journey that will pit them against new enemies and old threats alike.
A Plague Tale: Requiem is a third-person action adventure with a heavy focus on stealth mechanics. It also offers you more combat mechanics than its predecessor. Both protagonists have grown up a bit and Amicia can now make use of new weapons to keep enemies at bay. Meanwhile, Hugo's mysterious bond with the rats has been somehow strengthened, and he can temporarily control the rodent swarms for a devastating effect.
