It was announced just a few months ago, but Hitman 3 will arrive very soon to our home. The release is set for January 20, so we will not have to wait too long to play to it. IO Interactive has already revealed a certain amount of information about the game, in particular about the different modes and the destinations in the game. We recently discovered the opening cinematic of the game in which we could see that Lucas Gray, one of the emblematic characters of the series, would have a role in Hitman 3.
A new video published by Gameinformer shows the first five minutes of Hitman 3 gameplay. The adventure will begin with the On the Top of the World mission, which will give those who suffer from vertigo a cold sweat, as you will start the adventure directly on the top of a brand-new skyscraper, whose dedication ceremony is underway. You will have two targets to eliminate, and you will be assisted by Diana and Gray. Other than the gadgets that can be seen in the video, it doesn't offer us any new info about Hitman 3 gameplay. We can, however, enjoy the luxurious setting.
On the other hand, the columns of Game Informer reveal that Hitman 3 will be the last installment in the series, at least for a while. This is only half a surprise considering that IO Interactive announced last November that they were going to work on another project, this time dedicated to Agent 007. It must be said that working on such a famous license is a risk-taking for the studio, so it makes sense that they want focus entirely on this new project. It's temporarily called "Project 007", and it's meant to offer us a story evoking the origins of the most famous spy in the world. Fans of the Hitman series may also be interested in this one.
Until it's ready, they will be able to enjoy Hitman 3, which will complete the World of Assassination trilogy on January 20.
