Hitman 3 Year 2 content revealed

IO Interactive has managed to consolidate the popularity of the World of Assassination series with the huge success of Hitman 3. Agent 47's latest adventure has taken him to several locations in the world to get rid of his targets and complete a wide variety of missions, but the content included in the base game is never enough for the fans of the series. Fortunately, IO Interactive has released plenty of paid DLCs and additional free content for Hitman 3 during Year 1, including contracts, cosmetic items, elusive targets, and more. With the first year coming to an end, the developer has revealed what Year 2 will bring to Hitman 3.

The first novelty that catches our attention is Freelancer, a new roguelike mode for Hitman 3 that features Agent 47's Safehouse. It's a location that you can customize with items you will unlock during your missions during the different World of Assassination campaigns in Freelancer mode. Previous campaign missions are modified to fit into this mode, and they will feature new NPCs, and you will be able to gather gear and resources to bring to your Safehouse and restock your supplies between missions. It looks like an exciting mode that will add even more variety to Hitman 3.

Along with the new Freelancer mode, Hitman 3 Year 2 will also bring a new type of Elusive Target contracts in Elusive Target Arcade. This gameplay mode focuses on taking several Elusive Targets in a row but with additional complications in the mission.

When will Hitman 3 Year 2 start?

Hitman 3 Year 2 begins on January 20, but IO Interactive has even more surprises in store for the fans of the series. Hitman VR will launch on PC, and it will be available to all Hitman 3 owners on the same date. Also, we will finally see the release of Hitman Trilogy, a compilation that includes Hitman, Hitman 2, and Hitman 3 in a single package that will be perfect for newcomers. It will be available on January 20 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
