EA SPORTS FC 27 system requirements are here
After announcing all the novelties coming to the popular football simulation franchise this year, including The Grounds, EA has officially revealed the PC system requirements for EA SPORTS FC 27, giving players a better idea of what kind of hardware they will need when the latest entry in the football franchise arrives. While the game can still run on relatively modest hardware, EA offers several performance targets for players who want to push the visuals and frame rate further.
Can your PC run EA SPORTS FC 27?
The minimum requirements are fairly approachable by today's standards. EA SPORTS FC 27 asks for an Intel Core i5-6600K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600, paired with 8GB of dual-channel DDR4 RAM. On the GPU side, you'll need at least a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 570, both with 4GB of VRAM.
This configuration is designed for 720p gameplay at 60 FPS, with cutscenes running at 30 FPS. You'll also need a 64-bit version of either Windows 10 or Windows 11, DirectX 12, and around 100GB of available storage. An HDD is sufficient for this entry-level configuration.
Players looking for a more comfortable 1080p experience will need to step up to the recommended specifications. EA lists an Intel Core i7-6700 or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X, 12GB of RAM, and either a GeForce GTX 1660 or Radeon RX 5600 XT with 6GB of VRAM.
This setup targets 1080p at 60 FPS with the game's Medium graphics preset. Unlike the minimum configuration, EA recommends an SSD for this level of performance, although the required storage capacity remains at 100GB.
That's only the beginning, however. EA has also provided additional hardware profiles for players with more powerful PCs, covering everything from 1440p gaming to 4K and high-refresh-rate gameplay.
The High-Balanced configuration targets 1440p at 60 FPS using the High preset. It requires an Intel Core i7-10700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, 16GB of RAM, and either an RTX 3060 or Radeon RX 6600 XT.
Meanwhile, the High-Performance profile uses essentially the same hardware but shifts the target to 1080p at 80 FPS. This option should be particularly appealing to players with 120Hz or higher refresh-rate monitors who would rather prioritize smooth gameplay over resolution.
The requirements become considerably more demanding for those aiming for 4K. EA's Ultra-Balanced specification targets 4K at 60 FPS with the Ultra preset and calls for an Intel Core i9-12900K or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 32GB of RAM, and either an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 or AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT.
Finally, the Ultra-Performance configuration targets 1440p at 120 FPS, making it the most demanding high-refresh-rate option listed by EA. It retains the same CPU, GPU, and memory requirements as the Ultra-Balanced configuration.
EA SPORTS FC 27 appears to be relatively accessible for PC players who are happy with 720p or 1080p gaming, while the hardware requirements rise sharply for those chasing 4K visuals or frame rates beyond 60 FPS. The GTX 1050 Ti and RX 570 requirements at the bottom end should also mean that owners of older gaming PCs won't necessarily be left on the bench.
Players can now check their hardware before launch and decide which performance target makes the most sense for their setup. EA SPORTS FC 27 provides several configurations to choose from.
