Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Celebrates a Decade With New Content

After a decade of intense battles and countless adventures across the Dragon Ball universe, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a special free update. According to the official website of Bandai Namco, originally released on October 25, 2016, the popular action RPG continues to receive support from Bandai Namco and developer Dimps, offering longtime fans another reason to return to Conton City.

Final Festival of Universes Brings Exclusive Anniversary Rewards

Scheduled for October 27, 2026, the free anniversary update introduces special login rewards, commemorative costumes, and additional content for the Gallery of Time, with the latter requiring the FUTURE SAGA Chapter 4 DLC. Before this anniversary celebration, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 had already expanded its content through numerous DLC releases, including its previously announced final expansion, which introduced additional content for longtime fans.

The celebration continues on October 30 with the Final Festival of Universes, a special event featuring returning rare items and opportunities to earn up to 25 times more Star Coins. Players can also strengthen their relationships with familiar characters, including Trunks, Supreme Kai of Time, and Fu, to unlock exclusive illustrations.

Anniversary Celebration Connects Xenoverse 2 to Xenoverse 3

Beyond the anniversary festivities, one of the most exciting additions is the connection to the upcoming Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, currently scheduled for 2027. Players who participate in the celebration can earn exclusive cosmetic rewards, including Gold and Rainbow Festival outfits and collectible Acrylic Figures, which can be transferred to the next installment through their Bandai Namco ID.

While the anniversary update does not introduce a major gameplay overhaul, it represents an important milestone for a title that has maintained an active community for ten years. With special events, collectible rewards, and bonuses for the next game, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is celebrating its legacy while preparing players for the franchise's future.
