Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Community and Clan Features

The developers at Blizzard are showcasing the new clan and community features Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls that will be introduced with the upcoming Patch 2.0.1.

The Clan menu

Clans are designed to allow players with similar interests, schedules, and/or goals to form close-knit groups. They are perfect for communicating with numerous friends at once, organizing games, and easily staying in touch with those you play with frequently. Maximal 120 Spieler of Diablo 3 can join a clan. A single player cannot belong to multiple clans. You can create a clan via the new Community menu or use various search options to find a clan that suits you.

Unlike clans, communities offer a more open way to connect with other players. A community can be public or private and accept an almost unlimited number of members. Communities are intended as a place where players can meet for a variety of reasons, whether they play the same class, visit the same fan sites, or live in the same area. Communities are about strengthening relationships between like-minded people who enjoy meeting others.

Unlike clans, communities are designed to be larger and more loosely organized. You can set them to be public or private and accept an almost unlimited number of members. You can also access the community features via the new menu in the lower-right corner of the character screen. Both forms of player organization offer a variety of management options. While you can only join one clan at a time, it is possible to be a member of multiple communities. Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls will be released on March 25, 2014, for PC and Mac.
