Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced: Global release and preload times
Release date

The Caribbean is calling once again, and this time it offers shinier waters, sharper swords, and a whole lot more pixels. Ubisoft has officially dropped the worldwide release schedule for Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, giving players a clear timeline for when they'll be able to step back into the boots of legendary pirate Edward Kenway.

Get ready to return to the Caribbean

Whether you're planning to commandeer enemy ships on console or chart a course on PC, the wait is nearly over. The remake launches globally on July 9, though exactly when you can start your pirate career depends on your platform and where in the world you live.

Console players get the classic midnight treatment, with the game unlocking at 12:00 a.m. local time on July 9. That means players in New Zealand will be sailing long before those on the west coast of North America. PC players, meanwhile, will all dive in at the same moment thanks to a synchronized worldwide launch.

  • PlayStation 5: Begins on July 7 at midnight local time.
  • PC (Steam, Ubisoft Connect, Epic Games Store): Starts on July 7, ahead of the simultaneous global launch.

While the original Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag remains one of the franchise's most beloved entries, Black Flag Resynced is aiming to be much more than a nostalgia trip. Ubisoft has rebuilt the adventure using the latest version of the Anvil engine, delivering a modern take on Edward Kenway's swashbuckling escapades without throwing the original overboard.

Players can expect overhauled visuals, enhanced lighting and weather effects, smoother traversal, refined naval combat, and expanded underwater exploration. Combat has also been updated with more responsive animations and timing-based mechanics, while current-generation hardware offers multiple graphics modes, including 60 FPS support on supported consoles.

After months of speculation, leaks, and enough pirate-themed teasing to fill a treasure map, Ubisoft has finally locked in every major launch detail. Now there's only one thing left to do: clear some storage space, visit our comparator to get the best discounts for Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, preload the game, and prepare to answer the call of the high seas one more time.
