Anno 117 Update 3.0: Free Weekend and New DLC
Updates & Patches

Anno 117: Pax Romana receives a major update on November 5, 2026, alongside the release of its new expansion, Dawn of the Delta. Patch 3.0 introduces several quality-of-life improvements, gameplay adjustments, and bug fixes designed to make managing the Roman Empire more convenient. To celebrate the release, Ubisoft is also offering a free weekend, giving newcomers an opportunity to experience the city-building strategy game without purchasing it first. You can find the full details in the official Anno Union patch notes.

Anno 117 Free Weekend: Play Free Until November 9

The free weekend runs from November 5 to November 9, 2026, allowing everyone to experience the base game, including multiplayer and co-op, without purchasing it. This is a bigger opportunity to explore the Roman Empire than the free demo released in September 2025, which previously introduced players to the game's city-building experience. If you missed that opportunity, you can read our coverage of the Anno 117 demo on Steam.

Ubisoft is also running a sale across all platforms, making this a good opportunity to experience Anno 117 before deciding whether to purchase the full game.

Patch 3.0: Stamp Mode and New Statistics Features

One of the biggest additions is Stamp Mode, which allows players to save their favourite residential and production layouts as reusable templates. Players can organize their saved designs into folders, while PC users can share stamp files with others. The Statistics Screen has also received two useful additions: a Storage tab for tracking goods, trades, and inventory fluctuations, and an Items/Specialists tab that provides an overview of owned and undiscovered specialists. Players can also hide unwanted quests from their quest logs.

Beyond these new features, Update 3.0 brings several balancing changes and technical improvements. Normal difficulty becomes the new default setting, while the cost of end-game festivals drops from 50,000 to 25,000. Latium Mills and aqueduct specialists also receive adjustments. Ubisoft has additionally addressed numerous bugs, including multiplayer desynchronization issues, and optimized the game's installation size on consoles.

Dawn of the Delta DLC: Explore the Province of Aegyptus

Meanwhile, Dawn of the Delta takes players to Aegyptus, introducing a new province inspired by ancient Egypt. Its features include river flooding, new raiders, and additional Romanization mechanics, expanding the challenges of developing and maintaining an empire. Players interested in the setting can also revisit our earlier coverage of the ancient world of Anno 117: Pax Romana to learn more about the game's historical inspiration. More information about the expansion and its launch is available in the official Anno Union release announcement.
