NORSE: Oath of Blood is a turn-based tactics RPG set in an unforgiving Viking world where honor is earned in battle and loyalty is written in blood. You play as Gunnar, a young warrior cast out of his home after the murder of his father, Jarl Gripr. Exiled, wounded, and burning with purpose, Gunnar must gather allies, rebuild his fallen settlement, and take the first steps on a long path toward vengeance. Every choice shapes not only his fate, but the future of his people.

The game blends tactical, turn-based combat with deep, RPG-driven progression. Battles demand more than brute force: positioning, terrain, and timing matter. High ground, environmental traps, and coordinated attacks can mean the difference between a hard-won victory and the death of your warband. Each warrior you recruit has distinctive abilities, allowing you to craft a personalized, synergistic team that evolves as your campaign advances.

Outside of combat, you'll work to restore Gunnar's homeland. Rebuild workshops, expand your village, and assign villagers to essential roles. The settlement grows with your decisions, as you unlock new buildings unlock new equipment, advanced craftwork, and resources that strengthen your warriors for the conflicts ahead. Gathering materials, forging weapons, and upgrading gear become vital parts of your journey.

The story is a grounded, character-driven Viking saga written with emotional weight and brutal authenticity. Themes of betrayal, survival, leadership, and legacy run through every chapter. As you guide Gunnar through hardship and bloodshed, you’ll face moral choices that influence both the man he becomes and the community that depends on him.

With its mature tone, gritty atmosphere, and cinematic storytelling, NORSE: Oath of Blood offers an immersive Viking experience built on strategy, consequence, and raw determination. Prepare to reclaim your birthright!

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

: How does the 'Blood Oath' mechanic influence combat encounters in NORSE: Oath of Blood?
The 'Blood Oath' system allows players to forge pacts with ancient spirits, granting temporary but potent buffs. However, these oaths come with a 'Blood Price' that must be paid through sacrificing health or a portion of your accumulated power, creating a risk-reward dynamic in every major fight.; What is the significance of the 'Rune Weaving' system for character progression?
Rune Weaving is NORSE: Oath of Blood's unique skill tree. Instead of traditional leveling, players discover and combine ancient runes to unlock new abilities, passive bonuses, and even alter the properties of their weapons and armor. The combinations are vast, encouraging experimentation.; Can you explain the 'Favor of the Gods' system and its impact on gameplay?
As you complete certain challenges and make specific choices, you gain 'Favor' with different Norse deities. This favor can be invoked for powerful, singular-use divine interventions, such as a targeted meteor strike or a full party heal, but angering a god can lead to detrimental curses.; What role do 'Ancestral Echoes' play in exploration and uncovering lore?
'Ancestral Echoes' are spectral remnants of past events or fallen warriors that can be discovered throughout the world. Interacting with them provides snippets of lore, hints to hidden secrets, and sometimes even unlocks unique combat maneuvers or crafting recipes tied to that echo's history.; How does the 'Seidr Manipulation' mechanic differ from conventional magic systems?
'Seidr Manipulation' is a more volatile and primal form of magic focused on manipulating life force and the spiritual realm. It often involves channeling ambient energy, which can be unpredictable, leading to beneficial effects or dangerous backlashes if not controlled carefully.; What are 'Fealty Trials' and how do they affect your standing with factions?
'Fealty Trials' are special quests or combat challenges presented by the various clans and factions within the game. Successfully completing them not only earns you rewards but also significantly increases your standing, unlocking unique gear, settlement upgrades, and story paths.; Explain the 'Flesh and Bone Crafting' system for gear.
Beyond typical crafting, 'Flesh and Bone Crafting' allows players to imbue their equipment with salvaged parts from defeated mythical beasts. This can grant unique elemental resistances, weapon properties, or even cosmetic changes, making each crafted item feel truly one-of-a-kind.; How does the 'Rage of the Berserker' mechanic work and when should it be used?
The 'Rage of the Berserker' is a temporary, powerful state triggered by taking significant damage or performing specific combat actions. While active, your offensive capabilities are massively increased, but your defensive options are severely limited, turning you into a glass cannon.; What are 'Sacred Sites' and what benefits do they offer?
'Sacred Sites' are ancient locations imbued with spiritual energy. By performing rituals or defending them from incursions, players can gain temporary boons, such as accelerated resource gathering, increased experience gain, or even a temporary sanctuary from hostile forces.; How does the 'Fate Weaving' system, separate from Rune Weaving, alter the narrative or character abilities?
'Fate Weaving' refers to player choices that have long-term, often unforeseen consequences on the game's narrative and the world. These choices can unlock different questlines, change the disposition of NPCs, or even permanently alter the environment, making each playthrough distinct.
