A new era dawns in Destiny 2 with The Edge of Fate, the opening chapter of the Year of Prophecy. At its heart lies a confrontation long in the making: the return of The Nine. These ancient, godlike entities predate the Traveler itself, and their unseen influence has quietly shaped the Destiny universe. After years in the background, they now step into the spotlight, bringing with them answers, questions, and a cosmic reckoning unlike anything before.

The campaign unfolds on Kepler, a brand-new destination built for discovery. Designed with the spirit of Destiny's most intricate dungeons, Kepler challenges Guardians with layered puzzles, hidden paths, and a deep sense of mystery. Dark matter energy permeates this alien world, powering not only the planet's strange technologies but also the new tools at your disposal.

Central to this is Matterspark, an ability that allows Guardians to merge with dark matter. It will allow players to use new traversal powers like the Relocator Cannon, which teleports players using salvaged Fallen tech, and Mattermorph, a Strand-infused technique for reshaping the environment to uncover hidden routes and tactical advantages.
