HELLCARD is a distinctive roguelike deckbuilder that reimagines card-based dungeon crawling with a strong tactical layer. Set in the same papercraft fantasy universe as Book of Demons, this standalone adventure challenges players not only to master their deck, but also to think carefully about battlefield positioning. The placement of monsters, allies, and attacks can completely change the flow of combat, adding a refreshing twist to the genre.

HELLCARD combines the thrill of roguelike progression with the strategy of deck construction. Every run invites you to build a unique collection of cards, experiment with synergies, and adapt to unpredictable encounters. However, unlike traditional deckbuilders, success isn't determined solely by the cards in your hand. Tactical awareness of enemy locations and attack ranges plays a decisive role. Choosing where to strike and how to control the board can mean the difference between survival and defeat.

The game is designed with flexibility in mind, offering both solo play and cooperative modes. Brave adventurers can descend into the dungeon alone, aided by AI companions, or team up with up to three players online to face the Archdemon's legions together. This multiplayer option adds a layer of social strategy, as teammates must coordinate their cards and movements to overcome escalating challenges.

HELLCARD also benefits from the unique paper-cut art style that Thing Trunk is known for, giving each dungeon a handcrafted, storybook feel. The presentation blends charm with dark fantasy, making battles visually striking without losing clarity. Combined with fast, turn-based pacing, it creates an experience that is accessible for newcomers yet deep enough for veterans of the genre.

For players who enjoy roguelikes, tactical strategy, or card battlers, HELLCARD offers a novel mix of mechanics that keeps every run unpredictable and rewarding.
