Set in medieval times, Norland is a city simulator where you must manage both your city and your noble family. Inspired by the likes of Rimworld and Caesar, Norland places you and your family at the head of a city with various classes of society: serfs, knights, slaves, and outlaws. Each citizen has a set personality, needs, and goals. You must deal with them and keep them satisfied, or else, your family might find themselves facing a deadly revolt.

Order your noble family members to take on key roles in managing the city. Watch as they form a complex web of relationships that move between love, envy, and the lust for power.

You and your family must handle all facets of the kingdom, including financing and training the army, handling trade and the treasury, and ensuring the loyalty of your people. You must also put down riots and uprisings before the violence overwhelms your ability to rule.

You may have to oversee power struggles, espionage, and assassination attempts. You must also engage in diplomacy with other nations and, if necessary, go to war with them to defend your kingdom’s interests.

Each time you play, you can begin with different starting conditions, making each playthrough unique. Norland has much to offer the ambitious and enterprising ruler. Are you worthy of such a crown?

    FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Can I directly control individual units in combat, or is the combat primarily resolved through tactical decision-making and unit positioning?

How does the game simulate the complex social dynamics and relationships between different noble families and factions within the realm?

How do trade and diplomacy function in the game, and what role do they play in achieving victory or expanding influence?
Trade involves managing resources, establishing trade routes, and negotiating deals with other factions. Diplomacy is crucial for forming alliances, securing resources, and gaining an advantage in the game.
