You play as a young lady named Rouge, seeking adventure in the island city of Lylan to start your career as a great heroine. After a series of misunderstandings and hijinks, you wind up getting dosed by a mysterious potion. When you wake up, you find you are now a man. In order to keep your true identity hidden, you make an agreement with the city’s leader to join the Guild of Justice. Together with a group of female party mates, you begin your career as the hero of Lylan. You need to work together with others and get stronger because evil is brewing within the city and it’s the Guild’s job to root it out.

False Myth offers more than just a storyline filled with quests. You have the option to fill your regular day with mini-game activities from around the city. You can earn money by doing odd jobs, fight in the arena, or even spend your time fishing at the docks. You can go on a variety of quests and fight enemies using a card-based combat system with a rock-paper-scissors mechanic.
