Demon's Souls is a remake of the original eponymous title from 2009. This new version brings modern graphics that look better than ever but also adds new weapons, armors, and a new type of item that will give players resistance to certain status effects. Widely known for its outstanding level of difficulty, Demon's Souls is the first title in the Souls series, and it's an action role-playing game that takes place in the kingdom of Boletaria, a place nearly consumed by the Deep Fog and the demons created by The Old One. You will play as an adventurer that delves into the fog to fight the demons and put an end to the threat, determined to dominate the arts of war and magic, earning for yourself the title of Slayer of Demons.

Demon's Souls features a combat system with a wide variety of options when it comes to weapons and armor, but you will have to master your moves and time your attacks and blocks properly if you want to progress through the incredibly challenging encounters that you will face in the game. When you defeat an enemy, you will receive souls that you can use to improve your character but also as currency to buy new weapons and armor through the game. If you die, you will lose all souls gathered but you will be able to recover a part of them if you manage to reach the spot where you died.
