Prodeus was first announced in 2018, along with the first alpha version of the game. The game will be released by Humble Games and developed by Bounding Box Software Inc. Game developers Mike Voeler and Jason Mojica have been working together since their work on Singularity at Raven Studios. In 2019, the game was funded through a Kickstarter campaign. Prodeus is an indie FPS, that takes place in space. It takes inspiration from the classics of the 90s, such as DOOM or Wolfenstein. It has textures that resemble the old retro style of such games.

In the game, the player takes on the role of a corrupted agent of Prodeus, whose main task is to destroy the creator of the game, Prodeus, and anything that may try to stop him. As it happens in old school games of this type, there will be lots of enemies to defeat. Dismembering enemies, and bloody fights will be common in the real chaos of Prodeus. Another reminiscence of old games will be the stuff that can be picked up from the bodies of enemies and in the map, such as new weapons, armor, and healing items. There will be a very rich arsenal at your disposal consisting of various firearms and more. Each of them has different statistics, which include the rate of fire, reload time, accuracy, and ammo capacity. Different types of ammunition are used for each weapon. There are collectibles on each map that will grant you rewards when collected. In Prodeus, you can also create maps of your own and play on maps created by other players.
