This is the case with Franz Kafka's novel Metamorphosis and the game of the same title, which was inspired by this story and the second one by the same author - The Process. Released by All in! Games and developed by a small studio Ovid Works, which includes people who previously worked in CD Projekt Red. Metamorphosis is an adventure game, played in a first-person perspective, where you can find elements of puzzle games and platformers. The game has a linear character, during the adventure we go through many related levels-locations, with many puzzles to solve, where you have to use elements of the environment. We see the surreal world from an unusual perspective, because the main character of the game, Gregor, while waking up one day, realizes that he somehow became a small insect. In addition, his best friend Joseph is arrested, also for unexplained reasons. Gregor faces serious tasks - freeing his friend, solving the mystery of his metamorphosis, and finding a way to be human again. As he travels through a surreal world that looks like a bad dream, we have to use our skills, which we have received with our new incarnation. We will be able to climb walls and discover many places previously inaccessible to humans. During his adventure, Gregor will meet a lot of colorful and unusual NPCs.
