Guacamelee! 2 is a vibrant and engaging Metroidvania-style platformer developed by DrinkBox Studios. The game is a sequel to the original Guacamelee! and continues the story with a rich blend of Mexican culture, folklore, and humour. In this colourful 2D world, players take on the role of Juan Aguacate, a luchador who must navigate through various landscapes to stop the evil forces threatening the realm.

The gameplay features a mix of platforming, puzzle-solving, and combat, where players can utilize a range of abilities and moves inspired by wrestling. The art style is distinctive, characterized by its hand-drawn visuals and striking colours, which contribute to the game's lively atmosphere.

Guacamelee! 2 also introduces new features, such as cooperative multiplayer, which allows players to team up and experience the adventure together. With boss battles and a variety of enemies, the game offers both challenges and a sense of humour throughout.
