Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition keeps the specialized version of the Linear Motion Battle System seen in the original title, allowing you to control a single party member in real-time combat while the other three party members are controlled by a customized set of A.I. commands. It's possible to swap between characters at any time during combat.
