Earth Must Die: The End of Humanity Begins
Have you ever thought that one day, the life of our dear planet will come to an end, not by accident, but with a purpose? In Earth Must Die, we will find out the main reason why Earth is doomed.
Why being the bad guy has never felt this good: A deep dive into Earth Must Die
Scheduled to release on PC (via Steam) on the 27th of January, 2026, Earth Must Die is a comedic sci-fi adventure game developed by the BAFTA-winning studio Size Five Games (the creators of Lair of the Clockwork God) and published by No More Robots.
In Earth Must Die, players take the role of VValak Lizardtongue, a megalomaniacal, "Ming the Merciless"-style alien dictator. After robotic homanoids (known as Terranoids) invade his kingdom and kill his father, VValak decides the only logical response is to destroy planet Earth by himself.
As soon as you get into the game, you will realize that VValak is a genuine, unrepentant villain. The game is an interactive point-and-click adventure that focuses on how much of a "dictator" you choose to be while trying to exact your revenge. Earth Must Die features a unique interative mechanic that forces you to solve puzzles and progress by manipulating, ordering, and berating other characters into doing the work for you.
The game also features a vibrant 2D/2.5D art style designed to look like a high-quality Saturday morning cartoon, which is, in my opinion, the most suitable style for this type of game. And the main hook of the game's features is: The "No Inventory" Twist: the game itself is built on classic point-and-click games like Return to Moneky Island; however, there is no inventory system. VValak believes picking things up is beneath his social status, so he refuses to touch objects, which is a funny thing to show how much of a dictator he is.
The main hook for this game is that it is heavily marketed on its massive, fully voice-acted cast featuring some of the biggest names in British comedy and gaming, such as Ben Starr (Final Fantasy XVI), Alex Horne (Taskmaster), Tamsin Greig (Black Books, Green Wing), Matthew Holness (Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace), and finally, Joel Fry (Our Flag Means Death).
If you are looking for a chill, fun, sci-fi, adventure, comedy-type game, give Earth Must Die a try. I promise, you will enjoy the game. Please make sure to check it out and use our comparison tool to put Earth Must Die on your wishlist at the best price.
