Steam Halloween Sale 2024 event is now live

Valve is renowned for its massive sales events that take place twice annually, during the Summer and Winter, but they also offer notable sales during other festive periods. The Halloween sale is now here, referred to as the Steam Scream 3 event, featuring discounts on thousands of PC games and DLC focused on the spooky theme. This promotion is set to last an entire week as well.

It includes recommendations based on games you've previously bought and played (if logged in), highlights of the most popular titles currently discounted, and a wide range of filters based on genres, themes, platforms, and more. As always, many games unrelated to the horror theme are also on sale, so those filters are useful for finding deals if you prefer non-scary titles.

At the moment, the best-sellers list features favorites like Dead by Daylight, DayZ, Phasmophobia, Project Zomboid, and Back 4 Blood. Newer titles such as The Last of Us Part 1, Sons of the Forest, Lethal Company, and V Rising are also available at significant discounts right now.

If you're in the mood for some classic frights, the comprehensive Frictional Collection—which includes all the Amnesia games, SOMA, and the Penumbra Collectors Pack—is being offered at an impressive 82% discount. The Chinese Room's Still Wakes the Deep is priced at $23/£20/€20 (a 33% reduction), Alien Isolation is available for $10/£9/€10 (75% off), and Subnautica, which starts off non-horrific but soon becomes intense, is half price at a reasonable $15/£12.49/€15.
