November Update Brings Techmarine Class to Space Marine 2
The November Community Update for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 brings a wave of exciting additions, headlined by the introduction of the Techmarine—an iconic Adeptus Mechanicus-aligned class. This upcoming specialist arrives with a distinct combat style, wielding the Omnissian Axe, a weapon that features new animations, brutal finishers, and its own progression path.
Alongside this, the Techmarine carries a Servo-Gun designed to automatically target enemies, reinforcing his role as a battlefield engineer. The class also offers utility-oriented support, including the ability to restore Tarantula Sentry Guns already present in PvE missions, strengthening team defenses.
Players will soon be able to test this new class in an upcoming Public Test Server session for Patch 12, where community feedback will shape final balancing and design. This reflects Focus Entertainment’s continued emphasis on working closely with the player base to refine and expand the game’s evolving co-op experience.
Meanwhile, the recently launched “Reclamation” update continues to add depth to the game’s PvE offerings. This operation takes players aboard a derelict Imperial cruiser, culminating in a fierce showdown with a Tyranid Prime boss. New hero-weapon variants, armor pieces, battlefield conditions, and a special equipment item—Sanctified Wrath—give players more tools and customization options to experiment with.
A limited-time community event also rewards players for completing the Reclamation mission, granting 200 Accolades usable in the Refinement & Redemption shop. This reward is available even for players without premium passes, reinforcing the update’s accessible, player-friendly approach.
Rounding out the announcement, Focus Entertainment has released the Ultimate Edition of the game and encouraged fans to nominate Space Marine 2 for the “Labor of Love” category at the upcoming Steam Awards—highlighting the developers’ long-term commitment to expanding the game.
