The October Community Update for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 brings a fresh wave of content and teasers ahead of Patch 11.0, designed to keep players engaged and gearing up for what’s next. One of the standout reveals is the new PvE map “Reclamation,” set on a damaged Imperial cruiser orbiting Avarax, where players will face two winged Tyranid Primes — a formidable boss combination unlike any seen before.

The update also previews new “Battlefield Conditions” for the Stratagems mode, fresh weapon variants and armor pieces, plus two upcoming cosmetic packs: the “Blood Angels Champion Pack” (including a jump-pack variant for Assault) and the “Salamanders Cosmetic Pack” with five armor pieces and four successor chapters. Meanwhile, the event challenge for the month has been completed — the community eliminated over 400,000 Mutalith Vortex Beasts, unlocking the Infiltrator Helmet for snipers and vanguards.

For PC players, the Public Test Server (PTS) is open until 4 November: you can trial the Reclamation map, Heroic weapons, new equipment like “Sanctified Wrath,” and Chaos armor mixing in PvP. The developers also addressed key community requests: Blood Angels Champion parts will be color-customizable, the Salamanders shoulder emblem will be added, and the Jump Pack dash attacks (currently on PTS) are part of ongoing balancing. They remind players that the PTS is separate from live servers and any progress made there will not carry over.

Finally, the update closes with a Q&A section addressing several community-submitted ideas: the currency “Accolades” won’t be made tradable with Requisition points (for now), the “laurel-less” version of the MK VII helmet is planned, and a training simulation/arena expansion of the Battle Barge is in the works.
