Claim stealth-tactics game The Stone of Madness for free on Epic today
A new giveaway has just gone live on the Epic Games Store as part of its weekly refresh. Replacing last week’s Prop Sumo offer, players can now claim The Stone of Madness for free. As always, once you add it to your library, it’s yours to keep permanently - just make sure to grab it within the next seven days.
Released in 2025 by The Game Kitchen, the studio behind the Blasphemous series, The Stone of Madness takes a different direction from their previous work. Instead of a Metroidvania, this title delivers a real-time tactical stealth experience reminiscent of classics like Commandos and Desperados. Gameplay focuses on careful planning, stealthy movement, and making smart use of each character’s unique abilities to overcome obstacles.
Set in an 18th-century Spanish monastery, the game puts you in control of five prisoners attempting a risky escape. Each character comes with their own skills, but also personal traumas and phobias that can affect gameplay. If these fears are triggered, they can introduce negative effects or even alter how a character behaves, adding an extra layer of strategy.
The game also features a day-and-night cycle, with different challenges and opportunities depending on the time of day. Players must balance stealth with sanity management, as stress and fear can influence decisions and performance. Combined with its distinctive art style inspired by Francisco Goya and its tense atmosphere, it stands out as a strong pick for fans of strategy and stealth games.
The newly available The Stone of Madness giveaway on the Epic Games Store is set to run until April 23, giving PC gamers seven days to claim the latest offer. As usual, Epic continues to rotate these offers regularly, so there’s always something new around the corner.
If you enjoy picking up free PC games, be sure to check out our free games page as well, and keep an eye out for upcoming releases and exclusive offers.
