Outriders free demo is coming in February

If you have been following Outriders for a while you might be wondering if we shouldn't be talking about the release of the game instead of a free demo. Developer People Can Fly initially intended to launch the upcoming shooter much earlier, but the release date was postponed to February 2021. It seems that they are not going to meet that deadline and the studio announced via Twitter that Outriders won't be available until April 1, 2021. Even though the chosen date is suitable for some jokes, the people that have been waiting to play Outriders may not be happy about the extra delay. 

The reasons behind the postponement are ones that we have heard many times. They want to offer the best possible experience and they need a bit more time to polish the game. Despite any disappointment caused by the change of the launch date, the announcement is not that bad for a couple of reasons. First of all, Outriders is not a game as big as Cyberpunk 2077, and problems at release would have a much bigger impact in this case, especially because there are a lot of people concerned about such things right now. Also, the postponement has been accompanied by a second announcement and it turns out that a free demo of Outriders will be available on February 25th. It will give you access to the first few hours of the game and allow you to check all the four classes in Outriders, in solo and cooperative modes. Any progress that you make will be saved in case you decide to purchase the game later, so the demo will be more than welcome.
