Since People Can Fly announced Outriders at E3 2019, many players have shown interest in this new contender that will be entering the third-person shooting arena. With flashy graphics and a whole alien world to explore, the game will have it really hard to compete with other titles that are currently available, especially Destiny 2 and Tom Clancy's The Division 2, since Outriders share some characteristics with them. The upcoming cooperative shooter may even be in a more complicated situation now that Ubisoft has confirmed that it will be releasing more content for The Division 2 and Destiny 2 has a rather stable population thanks to the release of its latest expansion, Beyond Light.
But all that does not mean that Outriders could not have a brilliant future ahead, and you will be able to have a say on that very soon since its release is scheduled for April 1 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. You will even be able to decide if Outriders is worth your time before it's released because a demo will be available on February 25, 2021.
Outriders demo will give you access to the prologue and the first chapter of the game. You will have six character slots at your disposal to create characters from any of the four classes in the game and explore the world of Outriders. The character level will be capped to 7 and the World Tier to 5. Any progress that you make in the demo and all your characters will take over if you decide to buy the game later. That implies that the number of resources that you can gather while playing the demo will be limited.
Be aware that if you want to try the Outriders demo on PC, it will only be available on Steam. If you purchase the game on Epic Games Store later, the progress you make during the demo will not be transferred.
