MSI presents dual RTX 5070 GPUs inspired by World of Warcraft Midnight
MSI has unveiled two new themed versions of its RTX 5070 Gaming Trio graphics card: the Midnight Light Edition and Midnight Void Edition. These special variants celebrate the release of World of Warcraft: Midnight and draw visual inspiration from Quel’Thalas, giving fans the opportunity to represent their chosen faction through themed hardware.
As for core specifications, the RTX 5070 is built with 6,144 CUDA cores, paired with 12GB of 28Gbps GDDR7 memory across a 192-bit memory bus. The card has a 250W power requirement, delivered through a single 12V-2×6 connector, and offers display outputs including three DisplayPort 2.1b ports and one HDMI 2.1b port.
From a technical standpoint, both cards remain identical to the standard RTX 5070 Gaming Trio. The changes are purely cosmetic. Each model comes equipped with 12GB of GDDR7 memory and features a 2610 MHz boost clock out of the box. Through MSI’s Center software, users can enable “Extreme Performance” mode to raise the boost clock slightly to 2625 MHz.
These limited-edition GPUs will be sold globally in restricted quantities, offering PC builders a chance to create a World of Warcraft-inspired setup using officially branded components. Cooling is handled by MSI’s familiar TRI FROZR thermal solution, and both cards include a matching GPU support bracket to prevent sag and ensure long-term stability.
MSI has confirmed worldwide availability in “limited quantities,” though no official MSRP was disclosed in the announcement. Given current market conditions - and ongoing supply constraints affecting memory components - pricing may be higher than expected, particularly for 12GB GPUs.
The RTX 5070 delivers a compelling mix of performance and efficiency, making it an attractive upgrade option. However, with supply tightening due to broader memory shortages, finding one at a reasonable price could prove challenging.
