Insurgency: Sandstorm open beta starts today!

In 2014 New World interactive launched Insurgency, a tactical first-person shooter standalone title and sequel to Insurgency: Modern Infantry Combat, a community-made mod created with Valve's Source engine. Four years and 5 million copies later, they are ready to release Insurgency: Sandstorm, a sequel to their first game that puts heavy emphasis on an intense and deadly team-based combat at close quarters.

Insurgency: Sandstorm uses all the power of the Unreal 4 engine to deliver a hardcore multiplayer combat experience with a high degree of realism. High-lethality gunplay and a minimal HUD help with the immersion and promote an unique gameplay where skill is decisive and every shot counts. Also, for the first time in an Insurgency title, you will be able to customize your characters with a wide range of clothing and accessories. Several objective-based multiplayer game modes are available, with expansive maps for up to 16-versus-16 players and 8 players versus AI co-op matches. Insurgency: Sandstorm takes the foundations from its predecessor and improves them to offer a solid and immersive FPS experience.
