Rockstar gives GTA Online fans a stylish new heist before GTA 6

GTA Online is giving players another reason to return to Los Santos with The Kortz Center Heist, a major new update. This time, Rockstar is swapping bank vaults and heavily guarded islands for the glamorous world of fine art, allowing players to become professional thieves targeting priceless paintings. It sounds sophisticated, but this is still GTA, so expect carefully prepared plans to collapse into explosions, police chases and at least one friend crashing the getaway car.

Plan the perfect art heist solo or with your crew 

Players will team up with the mysterious Mr. Faber and his fixer, Raf De Angelis, to investigate the Kortz Center and prepare a multi-stage robbery. The operation can be completed solo or with up to three other players, giving lone criminals and coordinated crews different ways to approach the job. Bringing additional teammates may also help you escape with more artwork, although splitting the reward with the friend who alerted every guard is another matter.

Preparation appears to play an important role. Players will need to study the location, choose an approach, manage witnesses and remove security footage to reduce the pressure during their escape. Rockstar is also introducing rotating artwork, with three new paintings becoming available each week. That should give the heist some welcome replay value instead of turning it into something players complete once and immediately forget.

One of the update’s coolest ideas is the ability to choose what happens to the stolen masterpieces. Paintings can be sold to Mr. Faber’s buyers for a healthy payday, or kept and displayed inside your own Mansion. It creates a fun choice between filling your bank account and building the most suspicious private art gallery in Los Santos.

Hosting the heist requires a Mansion property equipped with the new Art Studio expansion, which acts as the operation’s planning headquarters. The update also brings new vehicles, additional upgrades and the Grotti Veleno GT, giving collectors even more expensive toys to chase.

With GTA 6 still on the horizon, The Kortz Center Heist looks like exactly the kind of content GTA Online needs. It offers returning players a fresh criminal adventure, weekly targets and rewards that feel more personal than another stack of virtual cash.
