Company of Heroes 3 will launch on next-gen consoles

The Company of Heroes series can be counted among the most important real-time strategy games of all time. Its realistic and exciting gameplay, myriad features, multiple scenarios, and accurate representation of the different theatres of war during World War II have made it a fan favorite since Company of Heroes was released in 2006. Company of Heroes 2 capitalized on the popularity of the first game and delivered a much better gameplay experience with new features, and Company of Heroes 3 seems to be following the same path as its predecessors.

Relic Entertainment has already detailed many of the features in the upcoming game, including a new change of scenario that will allow you to discover a completely different style of war during the campaigns set in Italy and North Africa. Company of Heroes 3 will deliver a superior level of immersion compared to its predecessor, and the developers are taking it even further. For the first time in the series, a Company of Heroes game will launch on consoles.

The guys at Relic have created a version of Company of Heroes 3 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S that feels as exciting as the PC one, with full controller support, custom UI, and features that allow you to play at your own pace. 

“Relic has a long history of delivering incredible strategy experiences on the PC. We knew we had to do the same for CoH3 and launch the best game in the franchise’s history without any compromises. At the same time, we wanted to expand the audience for CoH3 by bringing the game to console.”

After the official announcement of the console version of Company of Heroes 3, the developer has confirmed that there are "no plans to support crossplay between PC and consoles for multiplayer at launch". This may seem to leave console players with a bit of a smaller group of opponents in multiplayer, but it will depend on the game's success on these platforms.
