Armored Core VI shines with its impressive graphics

The fans of the popular mecha series from the creators of Dark Souls and Bloodborne has a glimpse of Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon gameplay a couple months ago. Although the video was quite cool and it showed many of the features of the upcoming installment in the third-person action video game series, the quality of the footage shown by Bandai Namco then wasn't the best.

Now, we have a much better opportunity to watch the impressive mechas of the game in action thanks to a new version of the Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon video, this time released in high resolution. Everything looks much better in 4K at 60 FPS, as you can see in the video below.

 


Mecha combat at its best

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon takes a significantly different approach to mecha combat than other games in the genre. With a deep focus on action and mecha customization, the game aims to deliver a unique experience to keep you glued to the screen while having lots of fun. The customization mechanics, which allow you to load a variety of weapons on each hardpoint to adapt to each mission, reminisce of games like Mechwarrior 5 but the third-person combat and the visual aspect of the game is at a completely different level. It's much more of an action game where you can dodge enemy attacks instead of relying on bulky armor or shields. It definitely feels much more interactive and dynamic than many other games in the genre.

It will be quite interesting to see a full video detailing the intricacies of the gameplay that FromSoftware will bring to the table with Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. Hopefully, we will have more videos ahead of the August 25 release for the game on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
