Armored Core VI is not the end of the series
Nobody has doubts about FromSoftware's capability to create awesome games. The Dark Souls series and Bloodborne led the studios to release Elden Ring, which can be considered one of the greatest games of all time. In fact, the Japanese studio is now immersed in the release of its first expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, which will introduce new content including challenging bosses to the already epic adventure. However, fantasy swordplay is not the only theme where FromSoftware excels. The studio demonstrated it with Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, an impressive action shooter that allows you to control a powerful and customizable mech in challenging missions.
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is the latest installment in an action sci-fi series that was already quite popular in Japan when the game was released. After a very good reception, the game is now a big hit worldwide thanks to its unique setting and the dynamic gameplay experience it delivers. Fortunately, it seems that FromSoftware does not plan to discontinue the series anytime soon.
Armored Core VII could arrive in the future
In a recent interview, FromSoftware president Hidetaka Miyazaki revealed that the Armored Core franchise is still quite important for the studio, which intends to continue exploring it with new games in the future. Also, Miyazaki wants to turn Armored Core into an even better experience.
“We have a strong will to continue it in the future. I believe Armored Core 6 was a success. There is still room for improvement, so I have no intention of stopping there.”
It seems that Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is just another chapter in a long-lived franchise that has a bright future ahead of it. After all, everything that FromSoftware touches seems to turn into gold, and it's not a coincidence as the studio demonstrates its worth with the outstanding quality of every game it releases.
